Two weeks ago, our school set out to accomplish a mission: donate 1000 cans to the food bank. Two weeks later, I'm proud to say that LCC has reached that goal and more! Our kiddos with their gracious hearts donated 1100 cans! Wowza!
North State Food Bank came by on Friday morning to collect the cans and was blown away by the number of cans that our kiddos donated.
Student Leadership has done an amazing job leading this mission and I couldn't be any more proud of them!!!
10 weeks of practice culminated in an AMAZING 5K run! The girls were excited and PUMPED for the run. We had a great time warming up with some Zumba, which I might add, is SO MUCH FUN!
As a coach and also an aunt of one of the participants in GOTR (Girls on the Run), I would highly encourage you to consider registering your daughter for GOTR. It's a beautiful program that allows your daughter's greatness to shine!
This season's awesome coaches :)
Currently, I'm coaching a team of girls through Girls on the Run. It is such a great opportunity to provide an outlet for those girls that need "something more" than schools can provide. I love the curriculum and I encourage all parents to check it out for their daughter.
I went to a coach's meeting before practice started and they shared with us this beautiful video. I thought I'd share it with you here. Check it out :)
I'm extremely excited to introduce you all to our 2015 Canned Food Drive!!! Student leadership will be leading this great cause :) We've decided to present the class with the most donations a special prize! North State Food Bank is providing us with barrels and will also be picking up all the cans from our school. How great is that? :)
More pictures to come. Stay tuned!
LCC students were extremely excited to meet these two special friends on Friday at our Halloween Parade (see below) and I'm not talking about the bacon lady ;)
Our office staff reminded the school of the most important meal of the day, which happens to be my favorite meal of the day!
