Are you familiar with Pink Shirt Day?
Pink Shirt Day started out in Nova Scotia, Canada where a new high school student was being mistreated for wearing a pink shirt. Two students (from the same school) took it upon themselves to bring awareness to others that bullying is not accepted. They shared the message that PINK is a color for empathy, not hate. This year on Wednesday, Feb. 24th, Little Chico Creek will stand up with the rest of Chico Unified as ONE . On this day, we celebrate and embrace our power to stop bullying by BEING THE ONE to show kindness. We have two assemblies scheduled for the 24th. Honor us with your presence by dropping by to see our kiddos sing and also put on a play. How do you plan on wearing pink on this wonderful day?? :) Hello Cheetahs!
Are you still deciding on what to get your special Valentine or Valentines?? Well, LCC has the "write" stuff for you!! Student Leadership will be selling Cupid Grams ($0.50 each) with pencil included from Mon to Weds. Don't miss out on this surprisingly 'write' way to express your appreciation to that special someone :) For this month's Behavior Rewards Event, we had Ron 's Reptile come to LCC. With only 5 Cheetah Cash, students were able to attend the event!
Ron was absolutely amazing! He's such a great teacher and I love that he was very very patient with our eager students. Pictures to come :) |
